Junior consultant – Energy Team

Trinomics is a leading consultancy firm dedicated to supporting the transition to a low-carbon, green and climate-resilient society. Our work includes applied economic research and policy advice, capacity building, and knowledge transfer in a wide range of energy and climate policy topics, with clients ranging from European institutions to national governments in Europe, to international clients such as bilateral and multilateral donors and international financial institutions. Our company is composed of three main teams: the Energy, Climate and Environment cluster. As part of the expansion of our Dutch business operations, we are looking for a Dutch speaking Junior consultant to join our Energy Team in our Rotterdam office. Role Description

The challenges within the energy domain are diverse, and so you will get to know many different types of work and environments. You will be joining our energy team that is focused on energy projects for the Dutch market. Therefore, interest in Dutch energy and climate projects together with a strong proficiency in the Dutch language are strict requirements for this position. In your duties as a Junior consultant, you should think of such things as:

  • Support the acquisition process, including:

    • Developing content sections of the proposal (background, methodology and risk mitigations)

    • Develop generic sections of the proposal (planning and organisation)

    • Liaising with consortium

  • Develop content on project work with guidance from mediors and seniors. Tasks may include:

    • Literature review

    • Data collection

    • Analysis

    • Stakeholder engagement

      • Setting up interviews, workshops, webinars

      • Preparing and distributing documentation (questionnaires, power points, minutes)

Required

  • A university or higher education degree in a relevant field such as Sustainable Development, Political Science and Economics, Engineering and Policy Analysis, Environmental Sciences or equivalent.

  • Minimum C2 Dutch and English level (fluent written and oral communication). The ability to work in additional languages is an advantage.

  • 0-3 years of work experience. It is an asset if you already bring some internship or work experience.

  • You are solution-oriented, proactive, resourceful, energetic and you have an analytical mindset.

  • Good MS Office skills, in particular MS Word.

  • Last but not least, you feel affinity with Trinomics' objective and international working ambiance.
