Student Assistant - Urban Energy Institute & Social Innovation in the Energy Transition

The UEI is hiring a student assistant for 6-8 hours per week, starting September/October 2023. The position is for a duration of 6 month with a possibility of extension to 12 months in which preference is given.

The student assistant will cover the following tasks:

Support in further increasing the visibility of the Urban Energy Institute internally and externally:

  • Developing content for our digital platforms (social media and website)

  • Supporting the organization committee of events such as symposia, monthly lectures, student events, internal events and/or conferences, as well as events in connection with the Energy Club

  • Other ad-hoc support for events and projects

  • Attending regular UEI team meetings and platform meetings as well as monthly SIET meetings

  • Maintaining the Social Innovation in the Energy Transition website

  • Organizes monthly SIET webinars by contacting speakers, designing posters, and promoting the webinar

Profile and competencies:

  • Master student with the ability to settle in quickly

  • Proactive, enthusiastic and open to sharing and implementing new ideas

  • Good at independent work and as part of a team

  • Experience or familiarity with the urban energy field and/or the built environment sector

  • Self-starter, with a willingness to find new opportunities to maximize the impact/outreach of energy-related research from TU Delft

  • Experience with graphic design and video editing is an advantage
