They need people that know what they are talking about when it comes to achieving the Energy Transition.

In 4 workshops at the Deloitte offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, you will gain an understanding of the business perspective of the energy transition. You will actively participate in an exciting program that covers transitioning existing large-scale industries but also drives the development of new, innovative ideas that need your help to accelerate. Next to the 4 workshops, you will work in groups of ~6 on new, innovative ideas and pitch these ideas at a festive final workshop where a panel of experts will select the winning idea. At the end of the course, all participants will receive a certificate of accomplishment.

What you will learn: Understanding the business perspective of the Future of Energy.
Registration open for:  The 3rd-year bachelor, master and PhD students of all faculties of Delft University of Technology, Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, University of Twente and Wageningen University; the course is also open for PhD candidates.
Time investment: ~40h; 10h per week (~30h of workshops, lectures and excursions; ~10h of group work).
Course timing: November 14th till December 16th.
Tuition fee: The course is for free and we do expect active participation throughout the course.

This autumn, you can accelerate your energy transition idea in collaboration with Deloitte and the four technological universities (4TU). ​

Now that the direction of our future of energy system is clear, we need to make it happen. To make it happen society needs bright, innovative ideas. At Deloitte, we support individuals and businesses that want to explore and work out these kinds of bright, innovative ideas. Realizing an idea requires an understanding of the technical aspects of the energy transition as well as a thorough knowledge of the business perspective. We would like to help you accelerate your idea that will make the energy transition happen.

The 4-week Business Course including the brightest of minds from Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, University of Twente and Wageningen University as well as Deloitte topic experts can help accelerate your idea to make the energy transition happen. You will present your idea to the participants of the course during the introduction session. Afterwards, a project team consisting of 5-6 participants will focus completely on your idea during the course. Guided by expert workshops and topic specialists provided by Deloitte the project teams will accelerate your idea from a technological perspective as well as a business perspective. Transform your idea into an actual step in the energy transition!

Registration: Open for all members (students & staff) from Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, University of Twente and Wageningen University. This includes 3rd-year bachelor, master and PhD students.
Time investment:
Presentation of your idea in the introduction session of the course (~10-minute presentation) and availability to answer questions/clarify if needed for the project team. Presence at the final pitch presentation of your idea.

The HyET Group consists of companies that specialize in developing and promoting technologies that facilitate widespread access to sustainable and inexpensive alternatives to conventional fossil-based energy solutions. At present, the HyET Group encompasses five technology companies: HyET Solar, HyET Lithium, HyET E-Trol, HyET Hydrogen, and HyET NoCarbon. These companies operate across the renewable energy supply chain by providing technological solutions to some of the critical challenges in this energy transition. These businesses are grounded in the core competencies of the HyET Group, which include roll-to-roll production, electrochemical systems, membrane reactor systems, and the group’s expertise in advancing low technology readiness level (TRL) technologies to higher TRL levels. Behavioural insights into climate policy and technology | Dr. Gerdien de Vries

Dr. Gerdien de Vries is an associate professor in Climate Psychology at the Technology, Policy, and Management faculty at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. She has a social psychology background and integrates psychological theories and research methods with other scientific disciplines to unravel human behaviour in the climate and energy domain. Furthermore, she assesses how policy, technology and actor behaviour influence each other. Dr. de Vries advocates team science and open science and shares her knowledge and research insights with a large audience.

In this Lunch Lecture, climate psychologist dr. Gerdien de Vries elaborates on using behavioural insights to design climate and energy policies and technologies. She zooms into current practices and research projects and looks forward to future possibilities. Furthermore, Gerdien will explain why humans – on all levels and roles - find it challenging to act green and change their behaviour.

You can join the pub quiz by enrolling by yourself, or by putting together a team with your friends. Take on other teams and players as you fight for cool sustainable prizes, so give it your all! After the pub quiz has ended and the winners have taken their prizes, the event will continue for some drinks and talks. There will be plenty of time to meet other people in the sustainable energy sector and enjoy some drinks.
