Mechanical Engineer | Full Time | YTA

2.      Candidate profile

3.      Responsibilities

The candidate is eager to learn and develop his/her strong capability to undertake:

Design and build responsibilities:

- Build complex product prototypes whilst learning and reviewing existing designs

- Plan, conceptualise, and create new designs within a tight envelop, e.g. highly restricted physical size and in subsurface high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive environment

- Develop CAD drawings and review drawings with team members & consultants and generate working prototypes

- Develop testing procedures, perform testing and validate new designs

Perform engineering calculation to support design work

- Identify engineering risks and develop solutions to mitigate risks

- Deliver detailed documentation to track project development and design process, offer critical

analysis and suggestions

- Collaborate with electrical, electronic and software engineers and work with / maintain

constructive relationship with suppliers

Project management responsibilities (from assistance to full accountability):

- Develop and review the scope of work for each project that includes the goal of the project and budgetary resources required

- Accurately accounting for all engineering hours for auditing and future planning purposes

- Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget

4.      Competences and qualifications

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

- Prior working experience designing mechanical systems and products is desired but not obligatory

- Firm grasp of engineering concepts, excellent math skills and ability to reason and solve problems

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventors, SolidWorks is a plus

Furthermore, the following will contribute to your success:

- Able to work both independently and in a team. You’ll be creative as well as constructively critical of the work, respectful of team members and facilitate team creativity and productivity

- Professional proficiency in English is a must and good command of German language is a big plus. YTA encourages language learning effort.

- You’ll be required to travel from time to time

Starting date: Q1 2023.

Dual location: Saarland, Germany and Den Haag, the Netherlands.

Full Time employee.

Level: Junior to a few years’ experience.

Supervised by Chief Mechanical Engineer and report to Chief Technology Officer
