Internships and theses on waste heat recovery
Here is a group of related master thesis and internship opportunities, mostly relevant for 3mE students. Even if you are not from 3mE but you have an affinity with the following topics, do not hesitate to reach out. All the assignments are set to start as soon as possible.
The topics relate to the heat recovery technology of Organic Rankine Cycles (ORC) for which TU Delft also has a test setup, the vapor tunnel facility called ORCHID.
Specifically, the following are offered:
Internship on the design and realization of a cascade wind tunnel
Master thesis on performance analysis and testing of ORC turbine blade rows
Master thesis on Investigation of shock patterns in an ORC linear blade cascade
Master thesis on Validation of the open source SU2 flow solver for ORC flow simulation
