Tidal Energy Grevelingen Part I
The project to design an innovative Tidal Energy plant at the Brouwersdam, which connects the province of South Holland to the province of Zeeland, has began.
As part of restructuring the Grevelingen area, an inlet in the Brouwersdam is proposed to connect the North Sea with the Grevelingen lake again. This way, it is expected that the flora and fauna in the Grevelingen lake area will blossom again by bringing back the tides, like it was before the Brouwersdam was built in 1971.

The Energy Plant project is part of the Energy Club, officially opened by former environment minister, Jacqueline Cramer, on 17 March 2010 in the Mekelpark, the campus at TU Delft. The Energy Plant captures energy from the wind with a 1.5m diameter and 6 bladed wind turbine. Kinetic energy of the turbine is converted into electrical energy using a generator.

The Cold Facts Project was initiated by the renowned Dutch polar traveler Mark Cornelissen, who is an ambassador of the WWF. The project aims to establish accurate scientific data collection in the Polar Regions and fact-based communication on climate change. The first stage of the Cold Facts project involves designing and building two weather stations to be installed on the land ice in the North Pole to monitor the polar climatic system.
